Global publications teams are generally focused on high-profile publications in high-impact English-language journals, such as pivotal phase 3 randomised controlled trials, that drive approvals and labelling in large, high-value markets, such as the US and Europe. In contrast, regional publications teams in the Asia-Pacific region tend to focus on clinical trials that support local approvals and real-world evidence generation, which are more likely to be published in lower-impact and regional journals, including journals published in languages other than English. Roundtable discussions will facilitate experience sharing between publication professionals from throughout the Asia-Pacific region about how to optimise collaboration between regional and global publication teams to support evidence dissemination with the ultimate aim of achieving the best possible outcomes for patients.

Learning Objectives:
  • Describe commonly encountered gaps in publication planning and coordination between regional and global teams
  • Share methods for improving coordination between Asia-Pacific regional and global publications teams
  • Engage with regional and global peers to develop novel methods of collaborating on publications projects

This roundtable discussion has been approved for 1 CMPP credit
