SUMMARY:Audience-Centered Publication Planning and Delivery: Addressing Diverse Needs Across APAC (Plenary + Panel Discussion)
DESCRIPTION:The APAC region is highly diverse in terms of culture\, languages\, economic development\, and healthcare accessibility\, and these factors have an important impact on medical publication planning and delivery. This session highlights the varying information needs and consumption patterns across APAC\, and brings together pharma\, agency\, and publisher stakeholders to share their perspectives on current trends\, challenges\, and strategies for APAC medical publication. The subsequent panel discussion provides an opportunity for these different stakeholders and the audience to explore best practices of publication planning and delivery in APAC together\, thereby enabling a better mutual understanding of the activities and considerations involved for different stakeholders working in different regions. This mutual understanding can help to build a supportive APAC framework to facilitate cross-border and cross-functional collaboration.\n\n\n\nLearning Objectives:\nDescribe the needs and information consumption/interpretation differences across APAC.Discuss various approaches and strategies used to meet the different needs of different APAC audiences.Design and execute effective publication and delivery to address the perspectives of different APAC stakeholders.\n\nThis session has been approved for 1.25 CMPP credits

SUMMARY:Evidence Without Borders: Integrating APAC into Global Evidence Generation (Plenary + Roundtable)
DESCRIPTION:A major global shift in evidence generation\, publication\, and dissemination is underway\, and local evidence generated in APAC increasingly has the potential to influence regulatory and clinical decisions across markets worldwide. This session will discuss the ongoing trends and key shifts in evidence generation from a global perspective\, and then pivot to one of the largest markets in APAC – Japan\, to explore examples of developing local real-world evidence beyond database studies\, as well as how this local evidence can be communicated with impact to global audiences. The session will lead into a roundtable discussion on how stakeholders across APAC are experiencing and interacting with global shifts and trends in evidence generation\, and will allow the audience to share their valuable experiences regarding pain points and effective strategies.\n\n\n\nLearning Objectives:\nDiscuss global trends in evidence generation across the APAC region.Communicate local evidence effectively and meaningfully to global audiences\, including publication ethics\, relevant guidelines\, and journal selection.Discuss RWE beyond database studies\, including different types of local evidence generation and the importance of cross-functional collaboration.Describe strategies to integrate APAC into global evidence generation planning through examples and experiences from Japan.\n\n\n This session has been approved for 1.5 CMPP credits

SUMMARY:Making APAC Voices Heard: Exploring Effective Practices in a Scenario-Based Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The cultural\, linguistic\, and healthcare diversity of APAC represents a valuable asset\, but pervasive cultural and linguistic equity gaps in medical publishing can make it difficult for APAC voices to be heard and fully appreciated. In accordance with the spirit of the title\, this session makes use of a freewheeling workshop format to amplify the voices of the audience. Select scenarios on global-regional alignment\, AI strategies to facilitate language equity\, and visual storytelling to enhance data clarity and understandability will be provided to the audience to discuss in a roundtable setting\, following which a speaker panel will engage with the audience to share and exchange tools\, strategies\, and solutions for each scenario.&nbsp\;After this session\, participants will also have an opportunity to continue exploring this topic at the primary roundtable session\, where discussion of best practices to communicate APAC insights and foster APAC engagement with the rest of the world can continue.\n\n\nLearning Objectives:\nDiscuss common cultural and linguistic equity gaps of medical publication in APAC.Describe various tools and strategies that can be practically applied to help make APAC voices heard.Develop their own solutions and strategies.\n\n\n This session has been approved 1 CMPP credit

SUMMARY:Roundtable Discussion: Gaps in Regional Work and Global Understanding
DESCRIPTION:Global publications teams are generally focused on high-profile publications in high-impact English-language journals\, such as pivotal phase 3 randomised controlled trials\, that drive approvals and labelling in large\, high-value markets\, such as the US and Europe. In contrast\, regional publications teams in the Asia-Pacific region tend to focus on clinical trials that support local approvals and real-world evidence generation\, which are more likely to be published in lower-impact and regional journals\, including journals published in languages other than English. Roundtable discussions will facilitate experience sharing between publication professionals from throughout the Asia-Pacific region about how to optimise collaboration between regional and global publication teams to support evidence dissemination with the ultimate aim of achieving the best possible outcomes for patients.\n\n\nLearning Objectives:\nDescribe commonly encountered gaps in publication planning and coordination between regional and global teamsShare methods for improving coordination between Asia-Pacific regional and global publications teamsEngage with regional and global peers to develop novel methods of collaborating on publications projects\nThis roundtable discussion has been approved for 1 CMPP credit\n\n

SUMMARY:Roundtable Discussion: Professional Growth for APAC Publication Leads
DESCRIPTION:Medical publication professionals in APAC play a critical role in translating global evidence dissemination strategies into locally relevant activities while navigating diverse healthcare systems\, stakeholder needs\, and resource constraints. However\, opportunities to contribute their expertise to publication planning\, decision-making\, and facilitating regional publication equity may vary across countries\, organizations\, and career stages with relatively limited resources and clear pathways compared to Global counterparts.\nThis interactive roundtable will explore how professional growth\, strategic involvement\, and organizational support can enable APAC publication professionals to advance regional publication equity\, especially to (1) ensure more equitable integration of regional perspectives into global publication strategies and (2) contribute to patient/HCP-focused communications to ensure they have equitable access to medical information.\nThe barriers\, unmet needs\, effective practices\, and prioritized practical actions to (1) and (2) will be discussed and summarized. Insights captured during the roundtable will inform broader recommendations for advancing publication equity across APAC and globally.\n\n\nLearning Objectives:\nIdentify how the roles\, strategic involvement\, and professional development resources of APAC publication professionals in pharma and agencies vary across countries and career stages and how these may differ from their Global colleagues\, including opportunities to contribute to patient/HPCs-focused scientific communications.Evaluate how individual and organizational factors enable or limit APAC publication professionals from integrating regional evidence\, diverse HCP insights\, and patient information needs into publication planning\, communication\, and decision-making.Prioritize capabilities\, organizational practices\, and actions that can strengthen strategic participation of APAC publication professionals support equitable medical communications\, and inform recommendations for advancing publication equity across APAC.\nThis roundtable discussion has been approved for 1 CMPP credit\n\n
